What we collect
Your name, email, company and market preferences; the properties you search and underwrites you save; and billing details handled by our payment processor (we never store full card numbers).
Home Value Reports
When you order a Home Value Report we collect your name, email, phone number and property address, the details, condition ratings, photos and notes you share about your home, your selling goals, and whether you'd like an offer. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
How we use Home Value information
To prepare and deliver your report, answer your questions, and follow up on an offer or exit strategy if you ask for one. We email you about your order: a confirmation, your report, one reminder if you agreed to it, and a request for a review. We only call you about your report or an offer you asked for, never for unrelated sales.
Advertising
Our Home Value pages use the Google Ads tag to measure how well our ads work, for example whether a visit from an ad led to an order. Google may set cookies to do this. You can manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
Fraud prevention
To keep the free tier to one per person we store a one-way, salted hash of your verified mobile number and of basic browser traits (device signal), plus a hashed sign-up IP. These hashes can't be turned back into your number or device and are used only to prevent duplicate accounts.
Ad click protection
When you reach our Home Value pages from a Google Ads ad, we check the visit for signs of click fraud: your IP address and its approximate location and network (looked up with an IP-risk service), your browser details, a device fingerprint made from your browser settings, and how you interact with the page (time on page, scrolling, taps). We use this only to stop fake or repeated ad clicks, including by excluding IP addresses from our Google Ads campaigns. IP addresses and browser details are deleted after 30 days; blocked addresses are kept until the block ends.
Retention
Home Value orders and reports are kept so we can answer questions about them and honor refunds; you can ask us to delete yours at underwritey.com/home-value/contact. Saved underwrites are kept until you delete your account. Fraud-prevention hashes are retained for 12 months after account deletion so the free tier can't be reclaimed.
Sharing
We don't sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that run the product (hosting, payments, email, SMS verification, property data) and when required by law. If you ask us for an offer on your home, or to be connected with a repair company, we share your contact and property details with the buyer or company we connect you with, for that purpose only.
Your choices
You can update your profile in Settings and request account deletion through Support.
